Join me in my design studio for a day of colour!
Think of this one day workshop as a mini semester at design school! I have has designed a series of exercises aimed at exploring colour and how to combine it, informed by my time studying textile design and over a decade working in the hand knitting industry. From building your own personal colour wheel to making mini colour study collages, winding proportional yarn wraps to starting your very own colour journal and more!
This will be a fun, hands-on session sure to spark inspiration – not just for your knitting, but for your whole creative practice.
I have taught workshops and given talks on colour here in the UK and abroad but it will be the first time I am hosting a workshop on colour in my studio, and I can’t wait to share my creative space with you all!
Saturday 26th September 10am - 4pm (with an hours lunch break at your leisure) elevenses and afternoon refreshments included.
All materials are included (you’ll have access to my full stash of yarns and papers!), but please bring as many bits and pieces, yarn, photographs, postcards, colour chips etc. that you are drawn to for their colour or colour combination, to make the day as personal to you as possible. You will also receive a colour journalling starter kit as part of the workshop ticket.
Places are limited to 8 participants.
Studio GFD is located in Colchester City Centre just off of the main High Street.
