Corner Scarf sneak peek
I want to give you all a sneak peek at one of the designs I'm working on, my Corner scarf. The yarn is Malabrigo Worsted and it's a really easy to follow asymmetric chevron design inspired architectural lines and angles.
I am constantly inspire by architecture and constantly getting my iphone out to take pictures of buildings, and not just the big shiny glass ones, this design is actually inspired by some pictures I took of the local multistory car park! I was walking past the corner of the building one day and I just looked up and was completely struck by the lines and angles of the building from that perspective. So I took some pictures, and went and got myself a coffee and started sketching.
I knew what I wanted to make so the next stage was creating a swatch of my idea to see how I could recreate those lines and angles.
It took me a couple of goes to refine my idea and the techniques I would use to create the effect I wanted, but once I was happy with the design I could cast on for real.
Here's the final piece, still a work in progress! I really hope you all like the design as much as I do, I'll post again about it when its finished.
